The End of 2009

We wanted to start of by saying that we hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year :).

Well, to end 2009 we are just going to start by saying we had a WONDERFUL Christmas Day. We were kind of nervous about it (ok I (Alicia) was nervous about it just because of the past couple of months with family it's been a little rocky and I wasn't exactly sure how to go about it all). But all and all it was a wonderful day with family. The kids received amazing gifts and we are so thankful :). Also, on Saturday (12/26) my mom and step-dad came down and surprised the kiddos with their presents from Santa. I kept telling them that Santa skipped our house and went to everyone elses because when Kaelyn and Ethyn went to see Santa they asked for Dora The Explorer gifts and Thomas the Train, so they knew Santa went everywhere else just skipped our house. :) Not really, just Santa brought LARGE ball pit and clothes :) They LOVE the ball pit though. Also, my mom took Kaelyn from Sunday until today which was refreshing. We love both of our kids but it's really nice to be able to put just effort on one child instead of having to spread yourself between 2 kids that need your attention at the same time all the time :).

So, as we thought 2009 would be ending with GREAT news (which it definitely is) we had a little bit of a Baby Angle scare yesterday. I went to the bathroom and when I got up I saw that there was some blood at the bottom of the toilet as well as on the toilet paper, so I immediately start to freak out and call Trent into the room. He comes in and sees it and I call my doctor (as I'm completely freaking out) and ask my doctor if it's normal or if I needed to come in. She proceeds to tell me to come in so I do. Well, she checks me and says that I'm ok, but she wanted to do an Ultrasound to be safe. I originally had an ultrasound on Tuesday to find out if we were having a boy or girl. So, instead I got all the stuff done yesterday. We were in there and they took a look and found out that it is ........IT'S A BOY BABY ANGLE BLUE! We called Kris&Timmy immediately which at first they weren't answering their phones and we were like seriouslY???? haha We (well I am particularly impatient) well, Kris calls us and says that Timmy isn't there he was on a bid, but we told her we couldn't tell her until he was there, so after the 2nd time we call back to say that we were going to do some shopping for Trent's mom she said well Timmy is on his way home can you wait 5 minutes so we did and he finally got home :) and we were like well "What would Harper (which is their nephew) prefer to play with? And they said both lol they just wanted us to tell them what we were having or should I say what THEY are having :), and finally I go you ready? And of course they were.....and I said "IT'S A BOY" :). They are truly excited as are we!

We received our ultrasound results today and they said that my placenta is on top of my cervix they call it a Placenta Previa and until a month or so I won't be able to know what's going on until they check and see if my placenta has moved. Which it is suppose to move within a month and then if it doesn't we will go from there but we are keeping our fingers crossed. Baby is HEALTHY though :) so that is ALL that matters :) I will take all the pain and suffering as long as this baby is happy and healthy that's all that we care about :).

And tonight we are going to a romantic New Years Dinner to finish 2009 then off with some of our friends. We hope that you all have a safe and happy New Year :) I can't wait to spend the rest of my life and New Years Eves with my one and only true love Trent :) I LOVE YOU!

You'd Make A Great Christmas Card

So, yesterday was a great day all in all. It was my last day of work for the year at least 2009 that is :). Don't have to be back until January 11th! My mom sent the kids an early Christmas package (some goodies and also their Christmas pajamas). She also sent some really awesome Christmas ornaments for the kids. K is for Kaelyn, and E is for Ethyn.

These are the coolest ornaments I've ever seen, my mom got them for $5.00 at Kohls. They look like gingerbread cookies....yea believe me Ethyn tried to eat it.

Daddy and Ethyn, they look so much alike it's not even funny, he has NOTHING of me....ok maybe the eye shape but that may be it!

My awesome family. I love them oh so much :)

Baby Angle's 15th Week

So as most people have read we are calling our baby Baby Angle (we don't know the sex yet....January 5th move faster!)....So, I have this what to expect website that tells me what I'm suppose to be expecting and what the baby is like. I also like to keep Kris&Timmy updated as much as possible on the baby's movement, and what the baby is like at this stage. So, here are Baby Angle's 15 week stats:

Week 15 of Pregnancy: Baby Kicking and Curling

Your baby is as long as four and a half inches right now, and weighs a bit over two ounces. Hold a large navel orange in your hand — that's how big your little darlin' is.Curious why your body is finally looking like it's pregnant? That's because your baby is growing bigger each week — he or she is as long as four and a half inches right now. Need a better visual (and a snack)? Hold a large navel orange in your hand — that's how big your little darlin' is at 15 weeks pregnant. (Now that you're done looking, peel that orange and eat it for a delicious two servings of vitamin C!). So what keeps your baby busy all day? Mostly, your fetus is in rehearsals — practice, practice, practicing, and getting ready for that big debut. Babies practice breathing, sucking, and swallowing so that when they leave your comfy womb and move into your comfy house, they'll have the skills necessary to survive. Fetal body movements continue to get practice this week, too. But because your baby weighs so little (a bit over two ounces), you won't feel the calisthenics going on inside your abdominal gym. But don't let that fool you. Your fetus is holding daily aerobics classes — kicking, curling toes, and moving those little arms and legs.
And with each passing week, your fetus is looking more and more like the baby you're picturing in your dreams. By now, the ears are positioned properly on the sides of the head (they used to be in the neck) and the eyes are moving from the side of the head to the front of the face — where they'll soon meet your loving gaze.

'Tis The Season For Hope

We had the most amazing weekend this past weekend. Read below for further excitement!!!

Our first official baby bump picture. This is Baby Angle. 15 weeks! On January 5th we will be finding out if its Baby Angle Pink or Baby Angle Blue.

We got a Wii for Christmas and this is Kris&Timmy playing the Sword Fighting game and really you should see its hilarious how funny these 2 are its like she's hitting him with a baseball bat like the way she was holding the Wii remote is AWESOME! You just had to be there to appreciate the whole thing. The second picture is calibrating the remotes. If you don't do that then they get all out of whack and make life harder when you're trying to beat Kris' 834 Wakeboarding score....oh wait...Trent has demolished her score times 2 in both Beginner, Intermediate, and Expert....AMAZING. And the 3rd picture is Trent and Timmy boxing that was so much fun to watch :).

As you can see we went to Baskin Robbins (it was like 35 degrees outside but guess who wanted ice cream??? KRIS&TIMMY) Ok, I admit I wasn't going to deny me or the pregoness some awesome ice cream :) So, I took this picture of Timmy because he got the peppermint shake with Hot Fudge on the bottom, we were told that he likes to "suck the fudge through the straw and get it all throught the peppermint part". Well, he started getting a chocolate high or something because as you can see he is REALLY excited about this shake!

Ethyn playing with his awesome tools that they got for Christmas it was hilarious because Ethyn was opening clothes and Timmy just jumped in and said forget the clothes give me those tools! HE LOVES THEM :).

Kris & Kaelyn playing with her awesome new gift from the Angles. Her books that she has a "reader pen" for. Which Kaelyn won't stop playing with she always asks me if she can read Dora. Ethyn just likes the pen because it makes noise. As you can see Kaelyn wasn't very picture loving but Kris was all for the picture :). Kaelyn LOVES Kris I think it's a girl thing. Although she liked that Timmy would swing her around and work his muscles because he hadn't gotten a chance to work out all weekend lol.

Kris and I in the car after dinner at Lonestar. We asked the boys what they wanted for dinner and they said steak, we opted out of going to T.G.I.Fridays because we normally always go there because thats where we eat our steak but we decided to try something different we hadnt' been to Texas Roadhouse in a while and their bread with the cinnamon butter is AMAZING, well all in all when we got there it was PACKED, a group of 16 went ahead of us their wait was 70-90 minutes so we figured ours would be long too, yea 60 minutes we didn't want to wait an hour to eat because we were starving and Kris and I LOVE food and I was getting cranky because I love fooooood. So, we ended up going to Lonestar, the wait.....2.2 seconds :). It was a great dinner filled with laughing, hope, and filled dreams :). After dinner we went to Christmas in the Park @ Deming Park, it was a fun time. The lights were beautiful. If we hadn't been in a car with people from Phoenix lol I would've rolled down the window to take pictures :).

Meet the most amazing people we've ever known. They say that we are strong for our decision, but we believe that they are just as strong for being able to stay positive and still have hope that God would find a way for them. We are just so happy that we are able to give them the hope and the blessing that they've been waiting for. Baby Angle will be arriving in June tentative due date is June 9, 2010. The power of hope is amazing.

It's All A New Beginning

How to start something like this off is beyond me. I can only say that the past 2 months have been amazing and I have no idea where to start.

Well, about a month and a half ago we found out that we were pregnant. Trent and I were very shocked because we had just moved into our new apartment, I just started going back to school, we have just gotten so many things started back up in our lives that this was just something we weren't exactly ready for. So, we had been going back and forth on what the best decision for us would be. So, after about a week of hard choices, and thoughts, and just debates we figured that the best choice for us, and this baby was to give him/her up for adoption. This choice was the hardest we've ever had to come up with, and for me (Alicia) it was extremely difficult because I already have 2 children, 2 very beautiful children that I love with all of my heart and I didn't know how I'd look or what people would think about my decision because I already have kids. The process to make our decision for an adoptive parent was going to be long and hard, but we found a website that was very helpful in helping us make a decision. We originally found about 5 couples that seemed "perfect" at the time. To be quite honest we had no idea what we were doing and so we emailed them all and the first people to get back to us were a couple by the name of Ben and Brielle. They emailed us telling us that they had already found their birthmother the night before they got our email, but that they knew a couple that was trying to adopt as well.

So, we went to their website and we instantly fell in love. I guess it was one of those things where we just "knew". We read their story and I (Alicia) couldn't stop crying because they were the couple that we were waiting for and what we were looking for. I don't want to say that our standards were high, but we had some things that we wanted our adoptive parents to be or have. We wanted them to be stable, loving, and full of life. We also wanted a couple that didn't have children, but had been trying to have children and it just wasn't working. And we found that in Kris&Timmy. We sent them an email and they got back to us immediately. We talked through email, and chat a lot that day and it was just completely awesome how our relationship just hit it off the way it did. Trent and I just KNEW that they were "the one". The one that would get to be our Adoptive couple for our baby.
We made the decision to have an open adoption because with us it just didn't seem like we could not talk to eachother or not see eachother and we wanted it to be easy just like our relationship is now. We have found the most amazing people to bless with a child. We love you Kris&Timmy.
We will post more once there is more time :) Especially about our visit when they came to see us :)
